Valentina Shevchenko Siblings

Valentina Shevchenko has a sibling by name Antonina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko was born on November 20, 1984, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, the same city where her younger sister Valentina was born.

The sisters grew up in a family of martial artists, with their mother Elena Shevchenko and their late father Pavel Shevchenko both being accomplished martial arts practitioners.

Their mother is a 3rd dan black belt in taekwondo and was also a coach for the Kyrgyzstan national taekwondo team.

Antonina began training in martial arts at a young age, starting with taekwondo like her mother.

She later added kickboxing and Muay Thai to her skillset and went on to win multiple national and international championships in both sports.

Antonina also has a degree in architecture from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

Antonina made her professional MMA debut in 2003 and has since amassed a record of 12 wins and 3 losses.

She has fought for various promotions, including Lion Fight, Legacy Fighting Alliance, and most recently, the UFC.

Antonina is known for her striking skills, particularly her devastating kicks. She holds a black belt in taekwondo and has extensive experience in kickboxing and Muay Thai.

Her fighting style is similar to that of her sister Valentina, with a focus on technical precision and counter-striking.

In her UFC debut in 2018, Antonina defeated Ji Yeon Kim via unanimous decision. She followed this up with a split decision victory over Lucie Pudilova in her next fight.

However, Antonina suffered her first UFC loss in her third fight, a unanimous decision defeat to Roxanne Modafferi.

Antonina Shevchenko has had a successful career in combat sports, with numerous national and international titles to her name.

She is a two-time IFMA Muay Thai World Champion, a WKC Kickboxing World Champion, and a KOK World Champion.

In addition, Antonina and her sister Valentina have both been honored with the title of Master of Sports, the highest sports title in Kyrgyzstan.

The sisters are also the founders of the Shevchenko Sisters Muay Thai Academy, which is based in their hometown of Bishkek.
