One of the most remarkable things about Taylor’s career was his incredible average of 17.8 yards per catch. He led the league in touchdown receptions in 1967 and in receiving yards in 1971. He was also a two-time All-Pro during his playing days.
Despite his impressive numbers and sustained greatness on the field, Taylor was unfortunately never inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame during his lifetime. However, he was honored by the Chiefs with induction into their Ring of Honor.
