According to authorities, the couple had reported their son missing on February 25, stating that he had run away from their Kingman home.

However, on February 28, authorities discovered a body wrapped in a blanket behind a wall, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Valentine contacted the sheriff’s office on March 2, reporting that her 14-year-old daughter was being held captive by her roommates, Richard Pounds, and Shioban Gujda, both of Kingman.

The girl had been shot in the eye with a BB gun by Pounds and had suffered other forms of abuse while living with them.

The Arizona Department of Child Safety has taken custody of the girl for her safety and medical attention.

In further questioning, Valentine admitted to authorities that she and her husband lied to deputies when they reported their son missing, stating that he was already dead at the time of the report.

Imes also admitted to disposing of the body. A search of their home was conducted, and Pounds and Gujda were taken into custody, with Pounds being arrested on suspicion of felony child abuse and aggravated assault.
