David Hoyle Cause of : A 70-year-old man named David Hoyle, who went missing from Handforth in Cheshire at around 1.30am on Tuesday, was found dead in woodland off Hurst Lane in Rawtenstall on the same day at 3.48pm.

The police launched a missing persons appeal, but sadly Mr Hoyle was found deceased in the woodland. Police are now appealing for information about his final movements and asking people to come forward.

According to a spokesperson for the police, Mr Hoyle's death is being treated as unexplained, although there is nothing at this stage to suggest any third party involvement. Mr Hoyle was wearing a blue jacket, grey colored jeans, and brown shoes when he went missing.

His family is being kept up to date with developments and the police are working to establish the circumstances that led to his death, piece together his final movements, and establish how he got from Handforth to Rawtenstall.
